Sue Anawalt Sue became involved in photography seriously about a decade ago. The camera became her friend and today it brings to her a world in a new dimension. Everywhere there are designs; lines, triangles, light and shadow contrasts. Behind the camera she finds herself caring about the focused image whether it is a person, a bird, or some scenery. That brings her to a connection with her subject that deepens her attachment to photography.
She particularly likes taking portraits. And she is particularly attracted to the special qualities of black and white photography. Not only does that particular medium distinguish it from painting, but it's a natural for the usage of light and shadows to create a mood as well as emphasizing shapes. |
